Assistant Manager / Billing Specialist
Karla joined Dr. Barry Leonard and Associates in 2000. She is a college graduate and currently holds a Paraoptometric Coding Certification (CPOC). She has more than 20 years of experience in customer service, with more than 16 years spent in the field of medical billing and optometry.
Alejandra joined Dr. Barry Leonard and Associates in 2014. She holds an Associate Degree and her American Board of Opticianry Certification is currently pending. With more than a decade of experience in the field of optometry, she’s an expert at making sure patients find exactly what they need to see more clearly.
Outside of work, you’ll find her shopping for bargains and raising her daughter.
Optician/ Lab Technician
Missony joined Dr. Barry Leonard and Associates in 2013. He has more than 15 years of experience helping patients solve vision problems – including 5 years as a Lab Manager. He is a college graduate and is currently awaiting his American Board of Opticianry Certification (ABO).
On his desk, you’ll likely find examples of his passion for woodworking and carpentry. His garage includes a few classic cars. Outside of the garage, he loves playing guitar and perfecting his smoked BBQ recipes.
Sandra joined Dr. Barry Leonard and Associates in 2012. She’s a certified Medical Assistant and is awaiting her National Contact Lens Examiners (NCLE) Certification. With more than 30 years in the field of optometry and ophthalmology, she has gained an extensive first-hand knowledge of the medication and treatment required to treat eye diseases, like Keratoconus.
Outside of the practice, Sandra volunteers in the community to help neglected animals and is always looking for something to add to her vintage antique collection.
Wendy joined Dr. Barry Leonard and Associates in 2015. Her Certified Paraoptometric Certificate is currently pending, and her educational background includes experience in Graphic Design.
Wendy spends time outside of work volunteering at her church, helping to feed disadvantaged children. At home she is the proud mother of three children.
Denise joined Dr. Barry Leonard and Associates in 2016. She has 15 years of experience helping customers access the eye care they need. She is a Certified Medical Assistant and is currently awaiting her Paraoptometric Coding Certification.
When she isn’t answering client calls, you’ll find her out shopping or trying new restaurants.
Rocio joined Dr. Barry Leonard and Associates in 2004. She has more than two decades of experience helping patients in the medical field. Her Paraoptometric Coding Certification (CPOC) is currently pending.
Outside of the office, you’ll find Rocio looking after her four daughters and embracing her passion for music.
